If you are in immediate danger, call 000 We are unable to provide crisis support between our normal hours of work unless your individual psychologist makes special arrangements with you. However there are a number of crisis support services which may be appropriate for you. Please also see a list of crisis support services linked to Brimbank and Yarra regions. These services can also direct you to alternatives if you live outside of those regions.

  • Psychiatric Triage for Adults

    Brimbank Area - 1300 874 243 Yarra Area – 1300 558 862 If you are over 15 years old, they will help to assess if you require urgent psychological intervention including a visit from the Crisis Assessment Team. These services are especially relevant if you are experiencing thoughts related to suicide or self harm.
  • Child and Adolescent Community Mental Health Service

    Yarra Region - 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday (03) 9496 3620, after hours 1300 558 862 Brimbank Region - 1800 445 511 (Under 15 years), 1800 888 320 (15+ years) For youth, they will help to assess if you require urgent psychological intervention including a visit from the Crisis Assessment Team.     13 11 14 24 hour counselling support for day to day issues as well as crisis support. They also helpful if you are experiencing thoughts related to suicide or self harm.

  • Men’s Line

    1300 78 99 78 Confidential telephone or online support, information and counselling service specifically for men.     1300 22 4636 24 hour crisis telephone support for all ages related to depression, anxiety, and any other difficulty.   • Suicide Call Back Service

    1300 659 467 A 24-hour telephone to people 15 years and over. They can provide crisis support if you are having suicidal or self harm thoughts. They also provide support for carers of someone who is suicidal or people bereaved by suicide. Up to 6 further telephone counselling sessions with the same counsellor at arranged time may also be provided.
